Community Childcare Fund – Rnd 3

Funder:  Federal – Education

Grant Background: This grant opportunity is available to Child Care Subsidy approved services that meet eligibility criteria in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.

Intended outcomes are:

  • child care services operating in disadvantaged and vulnerable communities are able to address (or have increased capacity to address) community level barriers to child care participation
  • increased number of children from vulnerable or disadvantaged families and communities accessing child care
  • increased sustainability of child care services operating in disadvantaged communities experiencing viability issues, including in areas with fluctuating and/or low short-term demand
  • increased availability of child care places in disadvantaged communities with high unmet demand through capital works projects.

Everyone Can Play

Funder:  NSW – Planning

Grant Background: The Everyone Can Play (ECP) grant program is a NSW Government commitment to support councils to renew, renovate and build inclusive playspaces across all of NSW to ensure people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds can play.

Up to $4 million dollars of funding will be available to all NSW LGAs to upgrade and deliver new and inclusive playspaces. A further $3 million dollars of program funding will be accelerated in 2020-2021 to prioritise eligible applications from bushfire and drought affected LGAs that can demonstrate benefits to affected communities.

In addition to the standard categories for new and upgraded playspaces, a small number of eligible and exemplar proposals from the bushfire and drought projects may be selected by the assessment panel to access funds of up to $700,000 and to scale up into destination style Demonstration Projects. Special conditions also apply to bushfire and drought affected LGAs across all funding categories to try to make the funding more accessible to councils..

Online Safety Grants Program

Funder:  Australian Communications and Media Authority

Grant Background: The Online Safety Grants Program, led by the eSafety Commissioner, is part of the Australian Government’s commitment to keeping children and young people safe online.

Grant funding is available to non-government organisations (NGOs) that deliver online safety education to children, young people and their communities, or training to those who work with them.

Community Childcare Fund (CCCF) – Rnd 2

Funder:  Federal – Education

Grant Background: The Australian Government is inviting applications from eligible child care services in an open competitive process to apply to deliver services under the CCCF from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2021.

The CCCF is part of the Australian Government’s Child Care Safety Net, which contributes to giving the most vulnerable children a strong start in life while supporting parents into work.

Grants provided under the CCCF are intended to supplement fee income received from families, including Child Care Subsidy and Additional Child Care Subsidy payments.

The intended outcomes of the CCCF are to:

  • improve early childhood development outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged children
    and
  • increase workforce participation by vulnerable and disadvantaged families.
