2019 Education Scholarships

If you are a new or existing student in 2019 undertaking a TAFE or other tertiary studies, then the range of scholarship opportunities below may be of interest:

BRAGG BEQUEST SCHOLARSHIP
Hardship-based scholarship for a Charles Sturt University student in full-time first year studying Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management or Agricultural Science. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

BOWEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP$2500 one-off scholarship for Charles Sturt University Wagga student with an interest in pursuing a career relevant to the beef or dairy cattle industries and a commitment to agriculture. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

NSW FARMERS’ TERTIARY SCHOLARSHIP
For university, TAFE, private Vocational Education College or a post-graduate course. Only offered to NSW Farmers members, either having held a membership of any category for two consecutive years or your partner/parents/legal guardians must have been full members for at least two consecutive years. RURAL AUSTRALIA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
$5000 one-off payment to a Charles Sturt University student with an interest in pursuing a career relevant to the Australian sheep and/or wool industry. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

TARCUTTA/WANTABADGERY MERINO SCHOLARSHIP
$1000 one-off payment to student studying second, third or fourth year in any undergraduate degree within the School of Agriculture & Wine Sciences at Wagga Charles Sturt University. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

FC PYE SCHOLARSHIP
$2000 one-off payment to a Charles Sturt University student who displays dedication to agricultural rural resource management. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

HV MACKAY II SCHOLARSHIP
Awarding $3000 for agricultural students at the Charles Sturt University Wagga campus. Preference given to applicants who normally reside in the South-West Slopes or Riverina Regions of NSW. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

RENNYLEA LIVESTOCK SCHOLARSHIP
To a Charles Sturt University student demonstrating an interest in the future of the livestock industry as it relates to study in agricultural business management, animal genetics or animal nutrition. Deadline 3 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

CSU DROUGHT SCHOLARSHIP
A $5000 one-off payment to members of farming families or communities whose ability to attend or complete university is being impacted by current drought conditions. Deadline 9 February. For more information: CLICK HERE

ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY NSW VET SCHOLARSHIPS
Vocational Education and Training scholarships for people in NSW who demonstrate a passion for rural life and commitment for any career that will ensure the future success of rural and regional NSW. There is no limit on the types of course, the age of the applicant or institution e.g. college or TAFE courses, on campus or by distance learning. ROYAL AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
$3000 a year for two years for a University of Adelaide student studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Science or Animal Science. Deadline March 1. For more information: CLICK HERE

HORT SCHOLARSHIP
Hort Innovation is offering $8000 per student to target internships in the horticultural industry which may otherwise be constrained by financial cost. The scholarship funds may be used for travel, accommodation and living expenses to support the final year of study and internship placement within the horticultural industry. The internship must be horticulture focused, relevant to the module of university study and compliant with the university requirements. For more information: CLICK HERE

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HORT WOMEN
Hort Innovation and Women & Leadership Australia, with contributions from the Australian Government, are offering leadership development scholarships worth up to $10941 for women who work in levy-paying horticultural businesses. For more information: CLICK HERE
