Heritage Grants

Funder:  Royal Australian Historical Society

Grant Background: The Small Grants Program for Local History and Archives is administered by the Royal Australian Historical Society on behalf of the NSW Government through the Heritage Council of NSW. Grants of up to $5,000 support the work undertaken by local historical societies, community organisations and individuals across NSW.

The projects should be relevant to understanding the history of NSW and its people and places.

The main priority areas for the 2020 grants are: – Migrant history – Disaster recovery and conservation of collections due to the NSW bushfires

$ Available: Up to $5 000.00

Eligibility:  To be eligible your organisation must be:

  • RAHS Affiliated Societies
  • Local community or regional groups of NSW
  • Organisations incorporated on a non-profit basis, with a commitment to one or more aspects of history
  • Individuals
  • Local government bodies or tertiary institutions partnering with community groups to produce community-based projects.

Key Dates: Closes on 1 April 2020
