Grant Background: The Investing in Women funding program funds NSW organisations to develop and implement projects that support:

  1. Improve women’s financial wellbeing and security and support diverse and flexible employment opportunities for women and girls
  2. Promote and support a holistic approach to women’s health across the lifespan
  3. Support women’s engagement through social networks, access to information and building confidence using diverse representation of women and girls.

Increasing women’s participation leads to benefits for individuals, families and the community. Advancing the role, status and contribution of women and girls in our communities will grow the talent pool available for the workforce, encourage more diversity and flexibility for women and men in the workplace, and result in increased innovation, productivity and prosperity.

Indigenous Languages and Arts Programme

Funder:  Federal – Infrastructure

Grant Background: The overarching outcome of the Indigenous Languages and Arts (ILA) Program is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to express, preserve and maintain their cultures through Indigenous languages and arts activities.

Grant funding allocated through the ILA Program supports three key outcomes:

  • the empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to preserve and teach their culture through languages and arts
  • a strong sense of cultural identity and wellbeing in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, which contributes to sustainable and strong communities
  • celebration and increased recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages and arts in the wider Australian community.

Grant Background:  Celebrating Diversity: Events aim to support festivals and events that bring communities together, showcase the benefits of cultural diversity and promote social cohesion and community harmony. Celebrating Diversity: Events aim to attract everyone to share in the celebration of cultural diversity.

Each year the NSW calendar is filled with events that celebrate our cultural diversity.  Festivals and events bring communities together, showcase the benefits of cultural diversity and promote social cohesion and community harmony.

Celebrating Diversity Grants – Projects

Funder:  NSW – Multicultural

Grant Background:  There are two categories of grants under the Celebrating Diversity Grants Program:

  1. Celebrating Diversity: Events (This grant is currently closed, but keep your eye open for future rounds).
  1. Celebrating Diversity: Projects.

Community harmony happens when communities from diverse cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds work together on projects that make a difference.

Grants of up to $40,000 are available for 12-month projects than can make a lasting positive impact on social cohesion at the grassroots level.

Celebrating Diversity Grants

1. Celebrating Diversity: Events

Each year the NSW calendar is filled with events that celebrate our cultural diversity.  Festivals and events bring communities together, showcase the benefits of cultural diversity and promote social cohesion and community harmony.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for Celebrating Diversity: Events.

Applicants are eligible to receive grant funding to cover up to 20% of the total event budget up to the amount of $10,000 annually.
