Grant Background: Festivals Australia provides funding to support individual art projects at festivals or significant one-off community events, such as a town’s centenary celebration or opening of a major new community resource.

Festivals Australia will:

  • provide access to a diverse range of high quality, innovative arts projects that grow audiences at festivals across regional Australia
  • support partnerships and collaboration across the arts sector
  • encourage community participation in arts projects at regional and remote festivals.

Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery Grant – Stream 1

Funder:  Federal – Austrade

Grant Background: The Australian Government announced $76 million for rebuilding Australian Tourism in bushfire affected regions to protect jobs, small businesses and local economies by helping get tourists travelling into bushfire affected regions. Austrade is administering the Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery Grants as part of the National Bushfire Recovery Agency initiative, a $10 million grants program.

Stream 1 will support smaller-scale events (including the promotion of these events), concerts, festivals and/or other visitor attractions such as art installations and tourist walks. Applicants may apply for more than one grant in this stream,

Music Now Contemporary Live Music Fund

Funder:  Create NSW

Grant Background: The Music Now Contemporary Live Music Funding program will invest in a program of activities, events or performances that support NSW musicians to present new work and increase participation in live music events across NSW.

The Fund objectives are to:
• Encourage NSW venues to program more live music events
• Increase audience participation in live music events
• Support the presentation of original musical work by NSW musicians
• Increase paid employment opportunities for artists; and
• Increase the sustainability of the contemporary music sector

Examples of funding opportunities could include, but are not limited to:
• a series of public presentation opportunities for independent musicians.
• a series of outdoor live music events or a festival.
• a program of club nights for emerging hip hop/experimental/electronic musicians.
